Privacy Policy
Effective date: 26 August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how TicketPal.co.uk (“TicketPal”, “we”, “us”) collects and uses your information. It applies when you use our website, buy tickets, contact support, or otherwise
interact with us.
This Policy is governed by Scots law and aligns with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1) Who we are
TicketPal Ltd (“TicketPal”, “we”, “us”), operator of ticketpal.co.uk. For privacy queries, contact: support@ticketpal.co.uk.
2) Information we collect
- Account & order data: name, email, telephone, billing info, ticket purchases.
- Event data: attendee names/emails (where provided), preferences you submit.
- Technical data: IP address, device/browser info, cookies and similar technologies.
- Support: messages sent to our support channels.
- Independent review choice: whether you separately choose to receive an Encore review invitation and the limited order references needed to honour or withdraw that choice.
3) How we use your information
- Provide our ticketing platform and process your orders.
- Send confirmations, service messages and important updates.
- Send TicketPal news, event recommendations and offers only where you have chosen to receive marketing. You can withdraw that consent at any time.
- Share necessary order details with relevant Event Organisers to fulfil your purchase.
- If you separately opt in, share your name, email address and booking, event and performance references with Encore Reviews solely to arrange an independent post-event review invitation.
- Improve our website, security, and customer experience.
- Where you accept marketing cookies, measure TicketPal's own advertising and understand whether adverts lead to visits or sales.
- Comply with legal obligations (e.g., accounting, fraud prevention).
4) Lawful bases for processing
- Contract: to provide ticketing and related services you request.
- Legitimate interests: service improvement, security, support, fraud monitoring.
- Legal obligation: tax, accounting, and regulatory requirements.
- Consent: where required (e.g., certain marketing or non-essential cookies).
5) Sharing your data
- Event Organisers: we share relevant order/attendee details so they can run the event.
- Processors: payment providers (e.g., Stripe), email and hosting partners who help us run TicketPal.
- Advertising measurement: Meta receives limited browser and visit information through Meta Pixel only after you accept marketing cookies.
- Encore Reviews: only where you make the separate, optional choice at checkout. We share only the limited contact and booking details required for an independent review invitation.
- Legal & compliance: if required by law or to enforce our terms.
International transfers (if any) are protected by appropriate safeguards (e.g., SCCs).
6) How long we keep your data
We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above (e.g., orders typically retained for accounting/legal requirements). When no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymise it.
For the Encore review connection, encrypted delivered transfer payloads are removed after 30 days and terminal failed payloads after 90 days. Non-content delivery evidence is removed after 12 months. Pending deliveries are monitored after 24 hours and retained only while they are being resolved. Restored backups are subject to the same cleanup controls.
We retain consent evidence only for as long as necessary to demonstrate and honour your choice and meet legal obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
7) Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have rights over your personal data, including:
- Access, rectification, erasure, and portability.
- Restriction or objection to processing (including direct marketing).
- Withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.
- Complain to the ICO: ico.org.uk.
To exercise your rights, contact support@ticketpal.co.uk.
You can withdraw Encore review consent from your secure TicketPal order page or by contacting us. Withdrawal stops future invitation processing for that order. It does not remove a review you have already chosen to submit directly to Encore.
8) Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure. Please keep your account credentials safe and notify us of any suspected misuse.
9) Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies for core functionality and, with your choice, analytics and advertising measurement. See our Cookie Policy for details and separate controls.
10) Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The latest version will always appear here. If changes are significant, we’ll take reasonable steps to notify you.
11) Law & contact
This Policy is governed by the laws of Scotland. For questions, contact support@ticketpal.co.uk.
