TicketPal was born out of a very simple frustration.

Back in 2015, I was a member of a local theatre company and, like so many small organisations, we were struggling with ticketing sales through our m outdated and clunky manual systems. Online systems were expensive, over-engineered, and disconnected from the realities of community-led events. Fees were high, processes were clunky, and too often the technology felt like it was working against us rather than for us.

So I built a solution.

The first version of TicketPal was created purely to help our own theatre manage ticket sales more easily, affordably, and professionally—without eating into already-tight budgets. It wasn't about building a tech company. It was about solving a real, practical problem faced by people putting on shows, running events, and trying to make something positive happen in their community.

That principle has never changed.

From the very beginning, making ticketing simple, fair, and accessible has been at the heart of everything we do. TicketPal is designed to remove barriers—not create them. We believe organisers should keep more of what they earn, audiences should enjoy a smooth and stress-free booking experience, and community organisations should never feel priced out of professional tools.

As TicketPal has grown, we've had the privilege of supporting hundreds of events across Scotland—from community theatre and dance schools to charities, colleges, festivals, and grassroots organisations. In the past two years alone, we've processed over £1 million in ticket sales and supported more than 36,000 ticket buyers, all while staying true to the values that started it all.

We deliberately built TicketPal for those who are often overlooked by big ticketing platforms:

  • Charities raising vital funds
  • Community groups and volunteers
  • Local theatres and arts organisations
  • Schools, colleges, and youth groups
  • Independent promoters and small venues

For these organisations, every pound matters. That's why our pricing is transparent, our fees are low, and our platform is easy to use—whether you're running your first event or your hundredth.

TicketPal isn't about scale for the sake of it. It's about trust, fairness, and practical support for the people who keep live events alive at a local level.

If you're a charity, community group, or organiser looking for a ticketing partner that genuinely understands your world, TicketPal isn't just an option—it's the obvious choice.
