Terms & Conditions (End Users)

Effective date: [Insert date]

These Terms govern your use of TicketPal.co.uk (the “Site”). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please don’t use the Site.

1) Who we are & how TicketPal works

TicketPal.co.uk (“TicketPal”, “we”, “us”) is a ticketing platform used by event organisers to sell and distribute tickets. We are an intermediary — we do not run or manage the events themselves.

When you buy a ticket on the Site, your purchase is made from the relevant event organiser(the “Event Organiser”). TicketPal provides the technology and payment processing rails for that transaction.

2) Key definitions

  • Event Organiser: the person/company putting on the event and listing tickets on TicketPal.
  • Ticket Buyer / “you”: the person purchasing tickets via TicketPal.
  • Ticket: an electronic entry credential for an event.

3) Buying tickets

  • Accuracy. Provide current, accurate details at checkout. Event Organisers may accept or reject orders at their discretion.
  • Pricing & fees. Ticket prices are set by Event Organisers. The total you pay may include booking fees and payment processing charges (shown at checkout).
  • Payment. Payments are processed by our payment partners (e.g., Stripe). TicketPal does not store full card details.
  • Confirmation. After successful payment, we’ll send a confirmation email with your ticket(s). Please check spam/junk if you don’t see it. If you still can’t find it, contact support@ticketpal.co.uk

4) Ticket delivery & resale

  • Delivery. Tickets are delivered electronically (email and/or downloadable from your account).
  • Resale. Reselling is prohibited unless expressly allowed by the Event Organiser and permitted by law.

5) Refunds, cancellations & changes

  • Refund authority. Refunds are determined by the Event Organiser’s policy. TicketPal facilitates refunds when instructed by the Event Organiser.
  • Cancelled/rescheduled events. If an event is cancelled or rescheduled, the Event Organiser is responsible for next steps (refunds, exchanges, or alternatives). We’ll support communication and processing where possible.
  • Contact. For refund questions, please contact the Event Organiser first. If you need help locating the organiser’s details, email support@ticketpal.co.uk.

6) Attending the event

  • Entry conditions. Admission is subject to the Event Organiser’s rules (e.g., age limits, ID, security checks, dress codes). Please review event pages for any additional terms.
  • Conduct. Be respectful to staff and other attendees. Event Organisers may refuse entry or ask someone to leave if their behaviour breaches venue or event rules.

7) Liability

  • Platform role. TicketPal provides the platform and payment rails. We are not responsible for the running, safety, quality, or content of events — that responsibility sits with the Event Organiser.
  • Losses at events. TicketPal is not liable for personal injury, property loss/damage, or other issues occurring at an event. Your legal relationship for the event itself is with the Event Organiser.
  • Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

8) Intellectual property & third-party links

  • IP. All Site content (logos, text, graphics) is owned by TicketPal or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, or reuse content without permission.
  • External sites. We may link to third-party sites. We’re not responsible for their content or services.

9) Privacy & data

We handle your data as described in our Privacy Policy. We may share relevant order information with Event Organisers to fulfil your purchase. For security, we use reputable payment partners but cannot guarantee data transmitted over the internet is 100% secure.

10) Accounts

  • You’re responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
  • We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms or are involved in misuse/fraud.

11) Changes to our services & these Terms

  • We may update features or suspend/discontinue parts of the Site without notice.
  • We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page. Continuing to use the Site means you accept the updated Terms.

12) Force majeure

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control (for example: natural disasters, strikes, emergencies, or legal restrictions).

13) Governing law & jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Scotland. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Scotland.
