Organiser Terms
Effective date: [Insert date]
These terms (“Organiser Terms”) apply when you (“Organiser”, “you”) use TicketPal.co.uk (“TicketPal”, “we”, “us”) to list, promote, or sell tickets to your events.
These Organiser Terms are governed by the laws of Scotland.
1) Role & relationship
TicketPal is a ticketing platform and service provider. You remain solely responsible for the planning, delivery, safety, legality, and content of your events, as well as the accuracy of your listings and
communications.
When a customer buys a ticket, the contract of sale is between you and the customer. TicketPal provides platform functionality and (where applicable) payment processing.
2) Your account & obligations
- Provide accurate organisation details (including legal name, address, contact email/phone).
- Ensure event listings are accurate (date, time, venue, age restrictions, accessibility, pricing, fees).
- Comply with all applicable laws, venue rules, licensing, health & safety, and safeguarding obligations.
- Deliver the event as described. You are responsible for customer service and enquiries about your event.
- Keep login credentials secure. You are responsible for actions taken under your account.
3) Fees, payouts & taxes
- Platform fees are as set out on our Pricing page (e.g., pass-through or absorbed). We may update fees with reasonable notice; any change will not affect tickets already sold.
- Payment processing is handled via our payment partners (e.g., Stripe). Payout schedules and settlement rules depend on risk checks and the processor’s policies.
- You are responsible for all applicable taxes on your ticket revenue (e.g., VAT, local taxes) and for issuing receipts if required.
4) Refunds, cancellations & changes
- You must set a clear refunds policy and comply with consumer protection law. If your event is cancelled or significantly changed, you are responsible for deciding and funding refunds or alternatives.
- TicketPal can help communicate with buyers and, where applicable, facilitate refunds via the payment provider.
- You must promptly inform customers of cancellations or material changes and keep us updated.
5) Data protection
- You will handle any personal data of attendees in compliance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
- TicketPal shares necessary order data with you to fulfil the event. You are an independent controller of attendee data you download or export from the platform.
- You must keep attendee data secure, only use it for the purpose collected, and honour data subject rights.
See also our Privacy Policy.
6) Content & intellectual property
- You warrant you have rights/permissions for all content you upload (logos, images, copy) and that it does not infringe third-party rights or contain unlawful material.
- You grant TicketPal a non-exclusive licence to use your content for displaying and promoting your listings on the platform and in related communications.
7) Prohibited uses
Do not use TicketPal to list or promote illegal or unsafe events, or to:
- Mislead customers about an event, venue, capacity or restrictions.
- Engage in fraud, ticket touting (where unlawful), or money laundering.
- Upload malicious code or attempt to disrupt the platform.
8) Liability & indemnity
- TicketPal is not liable for losses arising from your event operations, venue issues, permits, or third-party acts.
- You agree to indemnify TicketPal against claims, losses, and costs arising from your breach of these Organiser Terms or applicable law, or your event operations.
- Nothing excludes liability that cannot be excluded at law.
9) Suspension & termination
- We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably suspect misuse, fraud, or material breach.
- Termination does not affect accrued rights and obligations. Fees owed up to termination remain payable.
10) Changes to these Organiser Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version will be available on this page. Your continued use of TicketPal after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
11) Governing law & jurisdiction
These Organiser Terms are governed by the laws of Scotland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Scotland.
